Autumn Wedding at Dewsall Court, Hereford

When Alice came to me asking if I was available to flower her wedding at Dewsall Court in Hereford I didn’t have to think twice. I thought the brief was beautiful. Alice had a really clear vision for the flowers and wanted a mainly yellow and white colour palette incorporating some blush.

Alice and Neil wanted to incorporate Alice’s Chinese heritage into their wedding day by having a traditional tea ceremony that morning. For the tea ceremony we used the traditional colour of red but also included a few beautiful yellow flowers to tie the arrangement into the rest of the day.

Alice choose a petite bouquet to reflect her stature and we used a beautiful colour palette of ivory, blush and yellow. It was lovely to bring in the autumnal tones in such a delicate and subtle way.

The buttonholes used a mix of fresh and dried flowers to create individual small bundles of beauty.

Alice and Neil said their vows in front of the beautiful lake at Dewsall Court. As the wedding day fell on the Chinese festival of the moon, we used a moon gate decorated with white flowers and foliage.

Meanwhile in the Wainhouse we created an architectural archway running up and onto the beams. Through the the room we hung clouds made from dried flowers and we also made a canopy for the ceiling with honesty to twinkle in the lights, As a finishing touch Alice hung Chinese lanterns that she had made.

All in all such a special day for this wonderful couple in such a beautiful location. It’s always a pleasure to visit Dewsall Court in the heart of the glorious Herefordshire country side.
