Spring Marquee Wedding Inspiration

Alex and Lizzie were married in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside in May this year. They married in a church ceremony in Lizzie’s childhood church followed by a reception in the gorgeous bluebell woods and then onto a marquee.

Lizzie wanted a small and simple bouquet in keeping with the seasons, so chose a delicate mix of sweet peas, fragrant lily of the valley and some delicate blue forget-me-nots. Bridesmaids and flowers girls carried the sweetest scented sweet pea posies.

For the ceremony at Lizzie’s local church we created a beautiful arch filled with the best seasonal foliage and lots of fluffy cow parsley to give a hedgerow feel, Lizzie was not a fan of larger headed flowers like roses, so we avoided those and instead stuck with the really seasonal British flowers instead.

Inside the church we created foliage pew ends and decorated with ivy and candles in the windowsills and around the pulpit. Coupled with the silver birch trees it really created a feeling of bringing the outside into the church !

Lizzie and Alex then hosted their drinks reception in the bluebell woodland on the family farm. Whilst we didn’t need to provide any flowers as nature provided its own, I couldn’t resist sharing some of the pictures as it was such a gorgeous setting!

The wedding party then headed to the marquee which had the most amazing views over the surrounding Wiltshire countryside. Supplied by DP marquees it has a beautiful fern lining which looked really special.

We lined the tables with bowls overflowing with delicates spring flowers and laid a foliage runner along the long tables.

For a show stopper effect, we created two gyp installations on hanging ladders. These looked incredible with the lights hanging down from them. Providing an amazing setting by both day and at night when the party started!
